Witness Statement: At around 2:30am i noticed what looked like a star in the sky and i started observing it in a southerly position. It then started moving from east to west but descended behind trees about 3 miles away. The light itself was white and looked identical to a star, but there were no flashing lights at all. What made it even more interesting, was the fact that following the light about 10 seconds after, was what appeared to be a helicopter or commercial plane. this was obvious due to the solid light and additional flashing red light.
Both objects appeared to have a descending trajectory and i have not seen a commercial plane have a flight path in that direction in the past which makes the sighting all the more puzzling. judging by the size and brightness of the light in comparison to the large distance away, i am confident that this was not a chinese lantern. would be interested to know if anyone else saw something similar, particularly anyone in the morda, llansantffraid or oswestry areas who may have had a closer view
